A typical Stephen Ministry training schedule at CLC

Opening retreat
Friday        7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday    9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (lunch provided)

10 weekly sessions
Tuesdays 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. (supper provided)

Closing retreat
Friday        7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Saturday    9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (lunch provided)

Commissioning
Sunday      9:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship services

And on an ongoing basis . . .

SEA* groups (*Support, Education, Accountability groups)
Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month
6:30 - 9:00 p.m.

SEA groups serve two purposes. They are the place where Stephen Ministers come together to receive support, encouragement, and feedback in their ministry, while always maintaining confidentiality about who their care receiver is and what the details of the relationship are.  SEA groups are also the place where continuing education is offered -- everything from "outside speakers" to extra practice and skill-sharpening.

In order to provide the best possible care for their care receivers, Stephen Ministers commit to attending their SEA group twice a month for as long as they are serving in this ministry.
